During our next to last day on Tenerife, we drove up Pico del Teide. The forest was shrouded in fog from us hitting the clouds on our way up.
Pico del Teide is a massive mountain, dominating Tenerife. It's the largest mountain on any of the Canary Islands, and there's an observatory near its peak.
In fact, at over 10,000 feet, it's one of Spain's highest mountains and from its heights, you can get some fantastic views over the surrounding sea and the other islands.
Of course, assuming it's not this foggy...
