Ryanair will open a new base at Oslo Rygge airport in March 2010, the airline's 37th destination. The company will base 3 airplanes in Oslo, and the $200 million investment will lead to 1,700 jobs.
The airline will launch 100 weekly return flights from Oslo, to locations such as Venice, Malaga, Paris, Krakow, and Berlin, plus others. This is great news for those living in and near Oslo, as the cheap flight choices in that market are more limited than from many other capital cities in Europe. Ryanair already flies to and from the Oslo Torp airport from many of their hubs.
