Los Angeles County Museum of Art

Whether you'd like a chance to see paintings by artist such as Rembrandt or Monet, or would prefer to see art from places like Japan and Africa, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is the place for you. Located on Wilshire Boulevard, the museum boasts an incredible collection of 110,000 pieces. It recently expanded to add a Contemporary Art Museum, one of those exhibition rooms is in the photo above. The museum is more than 20 acres in size and has so much to view it'd be impossible to see it all in one day.

In addition to its massive collection of paintings and sculptures, the museum also hosts concerts as well as showing series of films. There are also frequently lectures held at the museum, many of which focus on the treasures that the museum has on display. Though the museum's admission prices can be a bit high, it definitely offers enough to make it worth your while.
