Lake Louise, Canada

Beautiful Lake Louise, Canada

Lake Louise is not only the name of a beautiful lake in the Canadian Rockies but it is also the name of a small quiet village just west of Banff on the Trans Canada Highway. The village is noted for fabulous dining and beautiful hotels. Lake Louise is known as a “diamond in the Wilderness” as well as the hiking capital of Canada.

The scenery is spectacular. You will enjoy the Canadian Rockies with its snow-capped peaks, glaciers and waterfalls. There are hiking trails as well as downhill skiing, which is said to be the best in North America along with snow mobiling. You can fish here also. If you are in the mood for some pampering and relaxation visit the natural hot springs spas. Outdoor people can camp and canoe on Lake Louise.

You can take a stroll through the wild flowers in an alpine meadow, golf, go white water rafting or take a guided tour outside the park itself in the summer. If you are an adventurous soul you can try you hand at mountain climbing.

No matter what you decide to do at Lake Louise you will have fun and the hospitality in the village is said to be “down home”.
