If you are lucky enough to be visiting Hawaii on the first Friday of a month, you are in for a treat. The First Friday Artwalk is an event held every month in Honolulu's Chinatown. During the event, the galleries, shops, and cafes in the area open their doors and let passers by admire or even purchase a large variety of artwork.
In addition to being able to browse through all this artwork, visitors can also attend art exhibition openings, lectures, and more. There is sometimes even live music. The First Friday Art Walk has a great atmosphere and is a wonderful way to get a glimpse into Hawaii's art world.
