The latest trend for Stockholm cafes is Spanish, taking over from American and Italian influences. Visit Cafe Negro on Kungsholmen for some Iberian-inspired food.
Spanish food on the menu
Bocadillos, salads, basic dishes and desserts. That's it mostly. The food's tasty, with the 'right' amount of Spanish spices and influence. It's modern and simple. My wife had a salmon and salad dish and I had a chorizo-based hot sandwich. Rounded off with coffee and a coconut cake for dessert it came to a reasonable SEK 200.
Service and atmosphere at Café Negro
Service was decent, though the cafe was busy and tables take a while to get cleared. Furnishings are modern and comfortable and the guests are mostly young professionals.
