For 22 years, Australia’s absolute best roots and blues music festival has been the Byron Bay Blues Fest, now on the beautiful Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm tucked into the northeast corner of New South Wales, Australia. Enjoying such a long history of success has afforded the Byron Bay Blues Fest the cred to book major headlining talent like Cold Chisel, headlining the 2012 festival, and acts as big as Roger Daltrey, Earth Wind & Fire, The Pogues, and legendary bluesman Buddy Guy, all on the lineup for the upcoming 23rd Byron Bay Blues Fest. Get back to the roots of rock as you listen to the classic ”˜80s sz\tylings of Yes, “King of Rockabilly Swing” Brian Setzer, and Grammy winner Steve Earle.
Enjoy four days of festival awesomeness on the beautiful (and koala-filled) venue set aside around Easter each year for incredible music featured on five main stages. Fans can load up on their favorite bands’ gear at numerous kiosks opened by licensed vendors, and there will be a plethora of food stalls at the festival to accommodate the hunger you work up while dancing and singing along to the amazing music of the fest. Several licensed bars and a large beer garden are scattered throughout the venue to quench any thirst and make the festival atmosphere even that much more festive. If the weather isn’t cooperative, several of the food, coffee, and beverage areas are covered and feature big screens so you won’t miss a moment of the music. Camping on site is available, including both tent camping and the use of recreational vehicles. Be sure to acquire the proper permits so you’re all ready when it’s time to set up camp!
